FALLing in love with all things pumpkin spice this season! Say hello to the warmest and coziest oatmeal bowl ever!
It’s officially fall and the start of my favorite season…PUMPKIN SEASON! Because pumpkin season only lasts a few months, I literally add it to everything! There’s nothing better than a warm and cozy bowl of oats to start off the perfect fall morning!
Now I’m a huge morning person and love starting my day off with something hearty and warm as the seasons change. Fall candles, chilly mornings, and a delicious meal to start off the day is everything I could ever want! This oatmeal bowl is loaded with spices like cinnamon and nutmeg, while still having a rich sweetness from the maple syrup.
1/2 cup rolled oats
2 tbsp pumpkin purée
1 cup almond milk
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
pinch of pumpkin pie spice
handful of pecans
1/2 sliced banana
Combine oats and milk in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a bowl and then reduce heat to simmer. Add in pumpkin purée, vanilla extract, and pumpkin pie spice fill thoroughly combined. Serve and add pumpkin seeds, pecans, and sliced banana. Top with a drizzle of maple syrup.
